ONTARIO — Coming off another strong quarter, Goldcorp of Vancouver has announced plans to build a high-speed tram drift as part of its development of the Bruce Channel gold deposit. The tram will run on the 5400 level between Bruce Channel and the Red Lake mine 5 km away. Also, in preparation for mining the Cochenour orebody, the company will enlarge and upgrade the existing shaft at the old Cochenour-Willans mine.
Goldcorp acquired the Bruce Channel deposit with its takeover of Gold Eagle Mines in September 2008. The photo gallery at www.Goldcorp.com in the Bruce Channel section has some lovely pictures of visible gold.

Time for Goldcorp to build a new arena for Red Lake, in exchange for the old arena 1940 something, that is at the Cochenour site as they then could use the property, adjacent to the new Headframe. (and if they mill the old tailings that are on the ground at the arena site they would probably recover all costs.
