WASHINGTON, D.C.  – Toronto-based Detour Gold Corp. has become a signatory to the International Cyanide Management Code for the manufacture, transport and use of [caption id="attachment_1003719356" align="alignleft" width="363"] Pouring gold at the Detour Lake refinery. (Credit: Detour Gold)[/caption] cyanide in the production of gold, announced the International Cyanide Management Institute on July 25, 2017. The Cyanide Code is a voluntary industry program whose signatories commit to following the principles of the code and implementing the standards of practice. They also agree to be re-audited by a third party every three years. Detour’s 100% owned Detour Lake gold mine is located 185 km northeast of Cochrane, Ont. At the end of last year, proven and probable reserves contained 16.5 million oz. of gold in 530.2 million tonnes averaging 0.97 g/t gold. Learn more about the Detour Lake mine at www.DetourGold.com.
