QUEBEC –
RNC Minerals reports that the assays from the Qiqavik project show the association of high grade gold and copper mineralization in the Esperance West zone. The operator of the project is RNC’s 55% owned subsidiary,
Orford Mining Corp.
Highlights from the new results include:
- 2.37 g/t gold and 2.19% copper over 7.0 metres core length in QK-17-022, including 5.58g/t gold and 3.06% copper over 1.0 metre; and
- 1.58 g/t gold and 1.28% copper over 7.1 metres core length in QK-17-021, including 3.62 g/t gold and 2.04% copper over 1.1 metre.
RNC says the new drilling results support the subsurface extend of the known structures and the gold-copper-cobalt mineralization previously found at Esperance West. Gold and copper is associated with secondary splay structures located along the district-scale Qiqavik Break shear zone, which extends the full 40 km length of the Qiqavik property.
