BRITISH COLUMBIA – Toronto-based
Barkerville Gold Mines has announced the first resource estimates incorporating its Cow and Island Mountain deposits in Wells. The two deposits form part of the Cariboo gold project, which may contain 1.60 million oz. of gold in the measured and indicated categories and a further 2.16 million oz. in the inferred category.
Barkerville puts the total Cariboo measured and indicated resource at 8.1 million tonnes grading 6.1 g/t gold. The inferred resource is 12.7 million tonnes at 5.2 g/t gold. A total of 181 vein corridors were modeled in creating the initial estimate.
