NOVA SCOTIA –
Atlantic Gold Corp. of Vancouver has completed the third phase of resource expansion at Fifteen Mile Stream, and has also received the first assay results from Cochrane Hill. Both deposits are within trucking distance to the new Touquoy gold mine and mill near Halifax.
Fifteen Mile Stream returned 13 metres of 3.03 g/t gold, including 1 metre of 21.5 g/t; 11 metres of 5.92 g/t gold, including 1 metre of 61.2 g/t; and 8 metres of 12.84 g/t gold, including 1 metre of 88.7 g/t. The intersections were found between 30 and 132 metres below surface.
Cochrane Hill returned 6 metres of 9.77 g/t gold, including 1 metre of 22.0 g/t; 5 metres of 8.08 g/t gold, including 1 metre of 22.6 g/t; 16 metres of 1.7 g/t and 1 metre at 22.8 g/t; and 1 metre of 33.9 g/t and 1 metre of 50.6 g/t. The intersections ran from 70 to 158 metres downhole.
