Gladiator Metals (TSXV: GLAD; OTCQB: GDTRF) says assays from the first nine holes drilled at Crowley Park prospect discovered a new zone of copper mineralization. The prospect is part of the company’s Whitehorse copper-molybdenum-silver-gold skarn project in the Whitehorse copper belt in Yukon. These holes are part of a 22-hole, 4,000-metre program.

Significant intercepts include the following.

  • CPG-017: 26 metres grading .49% copper and 368 ppm molybdenum, including 15 metres at 2.36% copper and 421 ppm moly, and 4 metres at 7.75% copper and 686 ppm moly.
  • CPG-023: 13 metres at 2.06% copper and 1,071 ppm moly and 8 metres at 1.05% copper and 513 ppm moly.
  • CPG-011D1: 58 metres at 0.74% copper and 1,245 ppm molybdenum, including 8 metres at 1.65% copper and 1,905 ppm moly and 12 metres at 1.12% copper and 605 ppm moly.
  • CPG-016: 58 metres at 0.62% copper, including 7 metres at 1.99% copper and 867 ppm moly.
  • CPG-015: 7 metres at 1.45% copper and 2 metres at 3.77% copper and 10 metres at 1.23% copper and 319 ppm moly.

Gladiator considers the 10-metre intersection in hole CPG-015 to be the newly discovered zone. The new zone is only 50 metres to the south of the historical drill area for which there is a model of the mineralization, said CEO Jason Bontempo. The remainder of the assays from this campaign are expected soon.
