Bonanza-grade uranium is not the only thing F3 Uranium (TSXV: FUU; OTCQB: FUUFF) is finding at its Patterson Lake North (PLN) project. Hole PLN23-086 returned 20.6% uranium oxide (U3O8) over 2 metres within a 5.5-metre intercept that graded 7.56% U3O8 from the JR zone. Within the ultra-high-grade portion there was also an 0.5-metre intersection that assayed 35.7% U3O8.
Hole PLN232-093 encountered a 2-metre interval averaging 5,550 ppm boron in highly altered Athabasca sandstone about 17 metres from the unconformity along the A1B shear. Boron values above 5,000 ppm have previously only been found within the sandstone immediately above the JR zone, 3.5 km away, said VP exploration Sam Hartmann.
F3’s PLN property is located within the southwestern edge of the Athabasca Basin, close to Fission Uranium’s Triple R and NexGen Energy’s Arrow uranium deposits. The JR zone is 23 km northwest of the Triple R deposit.
