Liebherr’s launched its new R 9200 excavator in mid-April with the announcement that an Indonesian miner had already purchased 10 of the machines.

With a 12.5 m
3 bucket, the R 9200 has the biggest payload in its class. This new machine delivers excellent fuel economy even in the most challenging conditions, and its outstanding reliability and easy serviceability provides maximum uptime, says the manufacturer.
Here are some of the features of the R 9200:
- Tier 2/Tier 4i compliant 810 kW Cummins engine;
- Variable flow axial piston pumps for attachments and travel and a reversible swash plate pump for the swing drive;
- Backhoe digging force of 650 kN and breakout force of 740 kN; and
- Shovel crowd force of 868 to 924 kN and breakout force of 750 kN.
