NEWFOUNDLAND MET-CHEM CANADA of Montreal has been awarded the engineering, procurement and construction management contract for AUR RESOURCES' Duck Pond mine and mill. Met-Chem (www.Met-Chem.com) will be assisted by SGE Acres of St. John's, Nfld.
Aur made a positive development decision for the $92-million Duck Pond copper-zinc project in the central part of the province at the end of last year (see Net News, Dec. 15, 2004 for details). Proven and probable reserves total 4.1 million tonnes averaging 3.3% Cu, 5.7% Zn, 59 g/t Ag and 0.9 g/t Au.
