SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Layne Christensen Co. today announced on Aug. 7, 2017, that International Directional Services (IDS), a wholly owned subsidiary of Layne  has entered into an agreement with Boart Longyear to distribute their TruCore electronic core orientation system. [caption id="attachment_1003719620" align="alignright" width="300"] The TruCore core orientation system developed by Boart Longyear.[/caption] The agreement makes IDS the largest and most diversified distributor of downhole core orientation technology in the United States.  TruCore is now available on a rental basis from IDS starting immediately. This is a very positive development for the mining industry as customers will now have an even greater selection of tools and brands from a single source that is well-positioned to provide excellent service and geographic coverage. Boart Longyear has 127 years of drilling experience. TruCore has been extensively tested to ensure it provides accurate data, is easy to use in either underground or surface applications, and enhances safety with less manual handling.
