The stronger, more productive Cat D11 dozer.[/caption]
ILLINOIS –
Caterpillar says it has kept everything its customers love about its D11 tracked dozer, and beefed it up to be more productive and efficient, thus lowering overall costs.
Among a lot of other things, Cat redesigned the pin joints, introduced a new cooling package and made the frame even more robust. And the manufacturer found ways to make the D11 even safer, with dynamic fluid monitoring and additional visibility arrangements.
The new D11 is safer, performs better, lasts even longer and delivers a more positive impact to a mine’s bottom line.
Caterpillar added high horsepower reverse to reduce cycle times, increased efficiency with the new torque divider, and introduced load sensing hydraulics to boost power and responsiveness while lowering fuel costs.
Maintenance and repair costs will be up to 5% lower thanks to a new case and frame design, improved bearings, and a 30% larger oil pan.
