PRINCE ALBERT, Saskatchewan The kimberlite processing plant at SHORE GOLD's Star diamond project is fully commissioned. Engineers from Bateman, which supplied the dense media separation plant, handed over its operation to Shore employees. The batch plant is operating at a rate of 30 tonnes/hour, 24 hours/day. Some 1,000 tonnes of kimberlite have been processed through the plant. The final products are x-ray Flowsort and grease table concentrates, which are collected in sealed containers and transferred to an independent sorting laboratory for diamond recovery.

Pictures of the new plant are posted in the photo gallery at www.shoregold.com.

At the same time, shaft sinking continues. The shaft has reached 200 metres below surface and drifting is planned on the 175-metre level. Exploration drilling will be conducted from this level.
