COPPER-ZINC: Teck buys out San Nicolas partner

MEXICO – Vancouver’s Teck Resources has bought out the 21% of the San Nicolas copper-zinc project owned by Goldcorp, making Teck the sole owner of the project in Zacatecas. Goldcorp will receive US$50 million for its share. The arrangement allows each company to focus on its strengths – Teck on base metals and Goldcorp on gold.
