BRITISH COLUMBIA – Recent drilling at Sun Metals’ Stardust project in north-central B.C. confirms the continuity and strength of mineralization at the project’s 421 zone, the company says. The junior reported intervals of up to 58 metres grading 2.49% copper, 2.61 g/t gold and 44.3 g/t silver. That intercept was part of a 107-metre interval (starting at 546 metres depth) of 1.64% copper, 1.77 g/t gold, 28.6 g/t silver, and 0.03% zinc in hole 430D. Hole 428D returned 142.35 metres (from 493.5 metres downhole) of 1.22% copper, 1.28 g/t gold, 21.8 g/t silver and 0.41% zinc. All three stepout holes reported were drilled downdip and to the south of discovery hole 421, which returned 100 metres of 2.51% copper, 3.03 g/t gold and 52.5 g/t silver late last year. The company has had two drills onsite at Stardust conducting directional diamond drilling. More than 5,220 metres in 11 holes have so far been completed. The Canyon Creek copper-gold skarn zone at Stardust has indicated resources of 985,000 tonnes grading 1.34% copper, 0.62% zinc, 1.59 g/t gold and 36.8 g/t silver, plus inferred resources of 2 million tonnes grading 1.24% copper, 0.14% zinc, 1.72 g/t gold and 30.5 g/t silver. The 421 zone lies outside of the established resource. See www.SunMetals.ca for more information.
