NEWFOUNDLAND — Joint Venture partners Cornerstone Capital Resources of Mount Pearl, NL, and Thundermin Resources of Toronto have drilled 3.8% Cu over 9.1 metres at their Little Deer project in the north-central part of the province, north of Springdale.
Nor was that the only promising intersection. One wedge hole intersected variable amounts of mineralization over a core length of 99.0 metres within strongly altered mafic volcanics from the western part of the deposit. The best intervals were 1.9% Cu over 15.8 metres, including 2.9% Cu over 4.7 metres, and 1.5% Cu over 23.3 metres, including 3.1% Cu over 6.2 metres and 1.2% Cu over 9.4 metres.
Thus far the Little Deer deposit has been drilled over a strike length of 1,050 metres and to a vertical depth of 895 metres. The identified geophysical conductor stretches over 1,800 metres.
