PERU - Montreal-based SNC-LAVALIN has been awarded the contract to complete a prefeasibility study of the Toromocho project owned by PERU COPPER of Vancouver. The report should be available early next year.
The Toromocho deposit 140 km east of Lima lies at an altitude of 4,800-4,900 metres. An NI 43-101-compliant report puts measured and indicated resources at 1.83 billion tonnes grading 0.47% Cu, 0.016% Mo and 6.8 g/t Ag, or a copper equivalent of 0.68%.
