CONFERENCE – Mining and the Environment IV set for October in Sudbury

ONTARIO - Registration is now available online for Mining and the Environment IV at the conference website www.Sudbury2007.ca. The conference will be held Oct. 19-27 in Sudbury.

Featured speakers this year include David Schindler who will speak on "Impacts of oil sands mining and climate warming on northern rivers." Another not-to-be-missed presentation by Peter Chapman will be on the "Environmental risks of inorganic metals and metalloids: A continuing, evolving scientific odyssey." And also of great interest will be the presentation of Bernd G Lottermoser who will examine "Mining environments: The good, the bad and the ugly".

Delegates are urged to take advantage of not only the technical program, but the short courses, field trips, student competition, social evens and tradeshow.
