KINROSS GOLD CORP. has chosen Jan. 28, 2003, as the date of its special meeting of shareholders. The topic will be the previously-announced combination of Kinross, TVX GOLD and ECHO BAY MINES. The meeting will be held at 10 a.m. at The Design Exchange, 234 Bay St., Toronto, Ont. Court approval is being sought so the combination can come into effect on Jan. 31, 2003.
