ONTARIO –
First Cobalt Corp. of Toronto says it has completed the initial phase of muck pile sampling at its properties in the Cobalt camp. Over 400 samples were collected from two different geological settings – in the north near the town of Cobalt and in the south near Silver Centre.
The samples will be assayed, and successful results could lead to a district scale muck pile sampling project and beginning of metallurgical testing for silver, nickel and copper as well as cobalt. Ideally, processing the muck piles could lead to early cash flow for the company.
Three one-tonne samples were also collected and will be used to test ore sorting technology that might be applied to increase the head grade of feed material.
