QUEBEC – Dundee Sustainable Technologies has begun pilot tests on a three-tonne bulk sample from the Idaho cobalt project (ICP) 40 km west of Salmon. Owner eCobalt Solutions of Vancouver has taken the project to the advanced exploration stage. [caption id="attachment_1003721597" align="alignright" width="300"] Dundee’s arsenic removal process involves the creation of vitrified arsenic containing 20% arsenious oxide.[/caption] The pilot tests are focused on the removal of arsenic to <0.5% from ICP concentrates using Dundee’s pyrolysis approach. The results will provide eCobalt with feasibility level detailed engineering data with which to examine costs and sizing options for a production facility. The tests will be done in Dundee’s Thetford Mines, Que., labs. Learn more about Dundee’s pyrolysis approach to arsenic removal at www.DundeeTechnologies.com.
