COAL MINING – Trend mine to boost output to 2M t/y

BRITISH COLUMBIA - PEACE RIVER COAL (PRC) has received a permit allowing it to take the Trend mine to full production of 2 million t/y of clean metallurgical coal. PRC is a limited partnership of HILLSBOROUGH RESOURCES (20%), NEMI NORTHERN ENERGY AND MINING (20%), and ANGLO COAL CANADA (60%), all headquartered in Vancouver.

The partners recently added a fines wash-circuit and other modifications to the wash plant. In the first six months of this year, the plant will handle 1.6 million t of run-of-mine coal.
