You may have noticed that Canadian Mining Journal has a new logo! It has clean lines and an updated font to match the modern industry we cover. 2017 is transitional for the mining industry as some strength is finally being seen again in major commodities and the bottom lines of Canadian producers. The year is transitional for the CMJ staff as well with the addition of Alisha Hiyate, our new editor, in January. Her knowledge and enthusiasm have given us who write and work behind the scenes a renewed sense of purpose. To mark what are certain to be better times ahead, we are proud to freshen our image and share our insights with all our readers. If you know of someone in the industry who is not receiving our printed edition 10 times a year or our Daily Headline News four days a week, direct them to our subscription service. Both the print and email editions are free to qualified readers, and both cover a wide range of subjects of interest to the mineral industry.
