Outotec has introduced the Outotec modular paste backfill plant (MPB 80), designed for underground operations with low backfill throughput requirements. The unit is an alternative to installing a reconfigured concrete plant.
The new product is expected to produce cost efficient, high quality paste backfill at a lower unit cost than with modified concrete plants and larger, older model paste backfill plants.
The modular paste plant features a combined paste mixer and hopper with a reduced plant size and lower cleaning and maintenance requirements.
Plant components are preassembled off-site and delivered in modules to minimize the time between order placement and start up.
Benefits include lower paste plant up front capital, reduced operating costs over the life of the mine with accurate binder addition and a full range of services available to ensure optimal plant operations.
