(Image: Young Mining Professionals)[/caption] TORONTO – Young Mining Professionals have named the winners of its three 2018 YMP scholarships. Each winner demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, a commitment to community service, and a high degree of creativity and originality with their submissions. The three $4,000 scholarships went to:
  • Male Student – Lewis Wan of BCIT.
  • Female Student – Romy Done of the University of Toronto.
  • Indigenous Community Member – Charlene Duffett of Carleton University.
The scholarships are intended to nurture Canada’s net generation of mining leaders. The awards are made possible by Iamgold Corp. and Orefinders Resources.
