Aurion Resources (TSX-V: AU; OTCQX: AIRRF) reports the discovery of gold mineralization 2.7 km south of its Helmi project at Vuoma, with 1.33 g/t gold over 8.3 metres from 133.6 metres, and the identification of additional mineralized shoots at Helmi, with 1.21 g/t gold over 9.2 metres from 392.0 metres.

The 22-hole drill program was operated by project partner B2Gold, in the central Lapland greenstone belt in northern Finland.

New zones of gold mineralization were also discovered at Kutuvuoma, with 1.43 g/t gold over 10.5 metres from 261.7 metres, south of historical mineralization. The drill program has been expanded with an additional 4,500 metres planned for the second half of 2023, bringing the total drill program to 12,500 metres.

“The discovery of new gold mineralization … represents significant results from the recent drilling program,” said Aurion CEO Matti Talikka. He said the new discovery supports further gold discovery along the 20 km and mainly untested southern domain boundary that also hosts Aurion’s Kaaresselkä prospect.
