World’s largest wheel loader
Literally the largest wheel loader in the world, the LeTourneau L-2350 offers a standard operating capacity of 72,000 kg and a 40-m3 bucket to compete head-to-head with hydraulic excavator shovels. It is designed to centre-load haul trucks with payload ratings of 220 to 360-plus tonnes, and can also serve a wide range of uses including site clean up, blending and removal of overburden.
The L-2350 is digitally controlled by LINCS (the LeTourneau integrated network control system). LINCS manages and monitors all loader functions–hydraulic, electrical, traction drive and engine–through the interactions of a master control module inside the cab and multiple remote modules distributed around the machine. To simplify trouble-shooting and replacement, the remote modules are interchangeable and self-programming. LINCS also provides a wealth of information to the operator, maintenance personnel and mine management, including bucket weights, cycle times, preventive-maintenance information and self-diagnostics.
Powered by a 1,700-kW diesel engine, the L-2350’s all-wheel independent electric drive delivers positive traction, increased stability and shift-free operation. Downtime is reduced by the self-purging KLENZ air filtration system, self-lubricating ball-and-socket joints, and an emphasis on modular components.
