Stina Resources

The Dime gold property is located approximately 75 km south of Dawson City in the White Gold/ South Klondike Region. Soil sampling and trenching in 2010 on Stina’s property indicated three large anomalies running east on the property.

The Dime is potentially the largest system (over 4.5 km) in the region, after Kaminak’s Coffee and Kinross’ White Gold systems, and includes soil values as high as 6.08 g/t. The property contains part of a former Teck Target and was staked by Shawn Ryan. Five core holes were drilled in 2010 totaling 657 m from three separate drill pads, with mineralization in each hole, including 0.71g/t over 32 m.

This past season, Stina drilled an additional 14 core holes for a total of 2,574 m in key locations on the west and east anomalies. Other work completed during the 2011 season included an airborne magnetometer and Radiometric Survey, and 854 additional auger soil samples, mostly over the Western Anomaly, as infill sampling. A 1500 m trenching program was also completed on the Western Anomaly.

Trench samples consisted of representative five-meter continuous chip sample of bedrock and colluviums, weighing on average 6 lb per sample. This method has proven to be very effective in identifying areas for additional surface work or drilling in this region. Independent grab sample results were also collected from the same trenches, and reproduced anomalous gold values within anomalies identified from the five-m continuous bulk chip samples collected by Stina crews earlier in the season.

The 2011 drill program was designed to test anomalous areas identified by soil and trench sampling on the Western Anomaly, and to follow up on successful drill results from 2010 on both the Eastern and Western anomalies.

Results from the first 2011 hole (DDH 11-6) were released in late November 2011, confirming the presence of a steeply south-dipping east-west trending structure with strong silicification, brecciation and pyrite-arsenopyrite sulphide mineralization.
