Mining shovel gets new look
Caterpillar is proud to introduce its 6030 hydraulic mining shovel painted in full Caterpillar-trademarked “yellow.” The machine is the first Cat-branded mining shovel released since the company’s takeover of Bucyrus in October. The 290-tonne rig, formerly known as the RH120E under the O&K/Terex/Bucyrus banners, also makes history as the first shovel in that line to go into operation in Finland where it will work in Yara International’s phosphate mine near Siilingaravi. It’s the only producer of phosphate ore in Western Europe.
