Expanded Constellation series of drills

Cubex Ltd., based in Winnipeg, Man., introduces three new drill packages to the Constellation Series, a flexible line of mobile drills that utilize a common mobile platform. They are based on the centre-articulated MC57, a high-mobility carrier, which is designed to accept pin-on front-end set up modules and back-end power packages.

Currently, two set up packages (heavy-duty slide-over mounted and extendable boom-mounted feed systems) plus five interchangeable power modules (atmosphere compressor, reciprocating booster, screw booster, hydraulic top hammer package and Wassara pump package) allow for 10 different configurations. With the impending launch of the GC30 (a smaller carrier), further configurations are available.

The innovative Constellation Series brings many benefits to the mine operator. Along with the high mobility factor which means easy manoeuvring and quicker set-up times, the mine will require less equipment inventory and fewer operators, resulting in lower operating costs and higher productivity.
