Mining 101 is an overview and introduction to the mining industry. It is presented in non-technical language and covers topics from the formation of mineral deposits to their extraction and sale.

Learning Objectives

Develop a basic level of understanding of all aspects of mining to enable course participants to:
recognize the impact of industry events and news releases on the shares of mining companies.
conduct meaningful discussions with management, investors, corporate issuers, and industry specialists.
Fill the knowledge ‘gap’ of those course participants who already have acquired a basic understanding of the mining industry, by providing a structured overview of all aspects of the mining industry.
