2018 Sustainable Industrial Processing Summit & Exhibition

SIPS 2018 is multidisciplinary conference dedicated to achieving sustainability through science and technology, and incorporates incorporates recent advances in many areas disciplines and technologies such as resource extraction, advanced materials, energy, and environment. The symposium and overall summit will take place Nov. 4-7, 2018, at the magnificent ocean-front Rio Othon Palace on Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
This year, 6 Nobel Laureates have confirmed their attendance and participation: Professors Dan Shechtman, Andre Geim, Thomas Steitz, Ada Yonath, Kurt Wüthrich, and Ferid Murad.
The summit will be honoring the 2018 STARS of the closed cycle of materials sciences: from mining and mineral processing to metals extraction and processing and development of new materials. In alphabetical order, they are:
Ing. Paulo Afonso Gomes, B.Sc. – 2018 honoree with Afonso International Symposium on Advanced Sustainable Iron and Steel Making
Prof. Christian Amatore – 2018 honoree with Amatore International Symposium on Electrochemistry for Sustainable Development
Prof. Rasmus Fehrmann – 2018 honoree with Fehrmann International Symposium on Sustainable Molten Salt and Ionic Liquid Processing
Prof. Athanasios Mamalis – 2018 honoree with Mamalis International Symposium on Advanced Manufacturing of Advanced Materials and Structures with Sustainable Industrial Applications
Prof. Michael Zehetbauer – 2018 honoree with Zehetbauer International Symposium on Science of Intelligent and Sustainable Advanced Materials (SISAM)
