Traditionally, teams with hydraulic wrenches had to adjust this clearance. Operators found this made the effort a time-consuming and labour-intensive process. Operators with RAMSL can now make this adjustment with the push of a button, leveraging the power of computer automation to track and actuate the necessary changes. The company known today as KSB GIW, Inc. began in1891 as a small, privately owned foundry and machine shop located in Augusta, Georgia. The next year, the company incorporated as Georgia Iron Works (GIW). In 1914, GIW began manufacturing spare parts for the solids-handling pumps used in the Florida phosphate industry. Soon thereafter, GIW began designing and manufacturing their own slurry pumps to meet their phosphate customers’ growing demands.
