Canada Silver Cobalt (TSXV:CCW; OTC:CCWOF) has completed re-processing waste rock material from Castle mine, in Gowganda, Ontario.
The assays were performed on two separate sizes through a single gravity concentration step. The +20 mesh size fraction sample tested at 29,165 g/t silver and 1.1 g/t gold. The high silver grade is due to native silver in the sample. Even higher assays are likely after additional gravity concentration steps.
Canada Silver and Cobalt, as part of the proposed mine development, has already rehabilitated about 500 metres of the 1.2 km of accessible, first level underground mine workings which can be accessed by an adit.
Based on the underground drilling done in 2019, the company claims potential of a further 300 metres of stoped veins yet to access, in addition to the 600 metres of stoped drifts that have already been mined.
The company also has plans for a ramp to be used to mine the mineralized material between the 11 existing mine levels. This would create a ramped mine operation allowing for hauling the ore up the main shaft.
Cobalt and nickel results are still pending.
