Easy Access Industrial Design has launched the new Sturdy Deck mobile work platform that offers a safe means of accessing large trucks and equipment without the potential safety risks of a ladder.
Lightweight and portable, the Sturdy Deck is used at a Canadian diamond mine for shoveling out the sides of dump trucks. It provides a solid platform for working above ground on any heavy equipment. The Sturdy Deck also folds flat for storage and easy transport between locations.
To make flat folding possible, each unit comes with removable ladder, handrails, and end gates powder coated in safety orange for visibility. Heavy duty wheels make it easy to use, and they lock to prevent unwanted movement.
The Sturdy Deck has a tested loading capacity of 450 kg (1000 lb.) and is engineer certified compliant to both the Canadian Standards Association and the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration regulations.
Sturdy Decks come in decking widths of 50 and 75 cm (20 and 30 inches). The adjustable model deck may be extended up to a height of about 210 cm (82 inches). The deck has a width suitable to span over the hoods of semi trucks.
A tool tray and deck padding can be supplied on request.
