BRITISH COLUMBIA –
Ascot Resources has released the results from infill 19 drill holes completed on the Prew zone at the company’s Premier gold project in northwest British Columbia. Drill intercepts of note include:
- Hole P19-2153 returning 37.95 g/t gold over 5.03 metres starting at 290.5 metres
- Hole P19-2156 returning 8.14 g/t gold over 13.03 metres starting at 287.1 metres
- Hole P19-2151 returning 8.39 g/t gold over 8.75 metres starting at 300.1 metres
The Prew zone lies in the northeastern portion of the Premier deposit; interpreted to be the down dip portion of the Ben zone. These zones were discovered in 2017. The current drill results will be used in the process of upgrading existing inferred resources to the indicated category.
Premier project resources, based on a 2018 estimate, currently stand at 2.78 million tonnes in the indicated category grading 7.46 g/t gold and 26.2 g/t silver for a total of 667,000 oz. gold and 2.34 million oz. silver. Additional inferred resources are at 6.03 million tonnes at 7.18 g/t gold and 24 g/t silver for 1.39 million oz. gold and 4.65 million oz. silver. The project is host to the past producing Premier mine.
Ascot plans to complete an updated resource estimate for the project, to be followed by a feasibility study.
In addition to Premier, Ascot also holds the Red Mountain project within B.C.’s golden triangle where work is progressing towards a feasibility study.
