(Image: Osisko Metals)[/caption] NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – Montreal-based Osisko Metals continues to drill at its Pine Point zinc-lead project 65 km east of Hay River. Twenty-six holes were drilled in the L-37 and N-38 areas of the East Mill zone. Hole L37-19-PP-001 intersected 8.68% zinc and 2.45% lead over 6.4 metres, and hole L37-19-PP-011 returned 6.43% zinc and 0.87% zinc over 14.0 metres. Osisko said all intersections were in flat, tabular deposits and located 7 to 36 metres below surface. The Pine Point deposits were mined beginning in the 1960s by Cominco, now Teck Resources. Osisko is going back and re-logging and assaying the old core. (There are more than 702,300 metres of available core.) The most recent resource estimate is 38.4 million inferred tonnes grading 4.58% zinc and 1.85% lead (6.58% ZnEq), containing 3.9 billion lb. of zinc and 1.6 billion lb. of lead. Detailed drill results can be found in the news release for Oct. 21, 2019, posted at www.OsiskoMetals.com.
