TORONTO –
The Northern Miner is proud to offer its first academic scholarship as part of the Young Mining Professionals Toronto branch (YMP) scholarship program.
The Northern Miner joins fellow partners
Barrick Gold,
Agnico Eagle Mines,
Iamgold,
Yamana Gold,
Anaconda Mining and
Orefinders Resources to fund a series of $1,000 to $10,000 scholarships totalling $44,000 for Canadian university students (undergraduate and graduate) enrolled in the 2019 academic year and pursuing a career in mining.
The Northern Miner Future of Mining Scholarship will provide one $5,000 scholarship funded by the Northern Miner to an individual with a vision for the future. Further, the best submitted essay will have an opportunity to be published in an issue of The Northern Miner.

Scholarship applications are due by 11:59 p.m. on August 31, 2019. The 10 recipients will be announced by September 30, 2019.
