(Image: Warrior Gold)[/caption] ONTARIO – Toronto-based junior Warrior Gold continues to drill its Goodfish-Kirana gold project near Kirkland Lake. To date, the company has drilled 10 holes totaling 1,522 metres. About half the core has been logged and 482 samples sent to ALS Geochemistry to be assayed. The Goodfish-Kirana property is about 6.0 km north of the Cadillac-Larder Lake fault zone. The property hosts several gold showings, pit, shafts, and historical underground workings. Four targets are have been chosen as primary targets:
  • A zone is a high grade target in an east-southeast trending shear zone where most of the historical underground development and drilling was done. Warrior is testing the extension of the mineralization along strike and down dip.
  • C zone is a shear zone that trends northeast with high grade mineralization associated with the contact of quartz-feldspar porphyry and mafic volcanics. Drilling is intended to confirm historic grades and the continuity of the zone along strike and down dip.
  • The Deloye zone is interpreted to be an extension of the Kirana deformation zone which intersects the southern extension of the Goodfish deformation zone. Drilling will test the Kirana break below the historical Kirana Kirkland mine and the gold mineralization along deformed porphyry contacts.
  • A zone East is a shallow IP anomaly coincident with an inferred cross-fault and fold hinge identified by airborne magnetics.
