Iamgold produced 882,000 attributable ounces of gold in 2018, achieving the higher end of its production guidance. The company expects lower production during the first half of 2019. It expects production will build and costs will come down in the second half of the year as it brings Saramacca online.
The company expects to spend US$60 million on exploration in 2019, down from US$81 million in 2018.
