BRITISH COLUMBIA – Jiulian Resources announced that it has received a five-year area-based permit from the British Columbia Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources to establish up to 60 drill sites and four kilometres of exploration trail for core drilling on its Big Kidd gold-copper property. Big Kidd is a 4,056-hectare property located 25 km east of the town of Merritt. Historic drilling at the site partially tested the lateral extent of gold-copper porphyry mineralization hosted within a 525 x 400 metres breccia pipe to a maximum vertical depth of less than 275 metres. Historic intercepts, on the other hand, were 116.0 metres of 0.79g/t gold and 0.12% copper in hole DDH97-05; 127.3 metres of 0.42g/t gold and 0.18% copper in hole DDH99-02; and 75.0 metres of 0.75g/t gold and 0.25% copper in hole DDH92-01. In a press release, Jiulian informed that its 2019 drill plan will start in early January and will test the porphyry with eight holes having planned depths of 600 meters. The program will employ a drill rig capable of attaining up to 2,000 meters depth, should high grade mineralization be encountered lower than expected. Management at the Kelowna-based company said there are also plans to complete a high resolution Volterra-3D array IP survey centered over the Big Kidd breccia in advance of the winter drill program.
