MINING PEOPLE: Maverix Metals and New Energy Metals

Blake Rhodes, Newmont Mining’s VP of corporate development, has joined the board at Vancouver-based Maverix Metals, a gold royalty and streaming company. [caption id="attachment_1003725855" align="alignright" width="251"] Cesar Lopez[/caption] The new president and CEO of New Energy Metals in Vancouver is Cesar Lopez. He replaces Grant Ewing. Lopez has over 25 years of experience with much of that obtained in Latin America and Eurasia. He is the holder of a law degree from Universidad Gabriela Mistral in Chile, a master’s degree in international commercial law from Golden Gate University in San Francisco, and a diploma in marketing from UC Berkeley. He is also a candidate for a MSc in mineral economics from Universidad de Chile and Curtin University of Perth (Western Australia).
