(Image: Plateau Energy Metals)[/caption] PERU – Plateau Energy Metals of Toronto has shared new drill results from the Falchani lithium property on the in the Puno District. Expansion drilling to both the west and east have returned good grades. At Falchani West the company reported intersections of 23 metres of 4,412 ppm lithium (0.95% lithium oxide); 338 metres of 2,895 ppm lithium (0.62% lithium oxide); and 90 metres of 3,025 ppm lithium (0.65% lithium oxide). Three rigs continue to operate at this target. Plateau’s technical team believes the collapsed caldera that hosts the Falchani deposit may have trapped the lithium-rich mineralization millions of years ago, during the latest extrusive episode of one of the youngest members of the Macusani rhyolites. The volcanic nature of this lithium mineralization is extremely rare, if not unique. The indicated resource is 40.6 million tonnes grading 0.67% lithium oxide, and the inferred resource is 121.7 million tonnes grading 0.59% lithium oxide.
