ZINC-LEAD: Osisko drills 6.4% and 12.5% Zn+Pb at Pine Point

(Image: Osisko Metals)[/caption] NORTHWEST TERRITORIES – Montreal-based Osisko Metals has even more high grade assay results from the Pint Point zinc-lead mining camp. Drilling took place at the historic M-40 deposit at the west end of the East Mill  zone. Hole M40-17-PP-021 returned 5.04% zinc and 1.39% lead over 11.2 metres. Hole M40-18-PP-008 assayed 8.73% zinc and 3.77% zinc over  3.9 metres. Osisko said M-40 is flat-lying, tabular deposit, and all the intersections are located above 45 metres deep. The M-40 deposit has a strike length of 750 metres and a width of  about 340 metres. Cominco had an underground mine there. That company made a historical, unclassified resource calculation of 1.76 million tonnes at 5.4% zinc and 1.2% lead. Osisko is drilling the deposit with an objective to upgrade 50 million tonnes of unclassified, near surface resources within known deposits to an inferred estimate that is 43-101 compliant. The 2018 drill program consists of about 700 drill holes within the Main Trend, a 20-km-long, portion of the Pine Point camp that is located on the south shore of Great Slave Lake, near infrastructure and paved highway access and with 100 km of haulage roads already in place.
