(Image: Nevada Zinc Corp.)[/caption] NEVADA – Toronto-based Nevada Zinc Corp. now has the first resource estimate for its flagship Lone Mountain zinc project close to Eureka. The report was prepared by P&E Mining Consultants using the results of 85 reverse circulation holes and 13 diamond drill holes. Using a cut-off grade of 0.2% zinc, the report puts the pit constrained inferred resource at 3.3 million tonnes grading 7.57% zinc and 0.70% lead. Nevada Zinc added that the mineralization is almost sulphide free, has a low iron content, and is composed mainly of hemimorphite (zinc oxide) and smithsonite (zinc carbonate). Metallurgical tests are currently underway. Potential exists, says the company,  to expand the size of the currently known mineralization or to find additional zones at the property. Nevada Zinc president and CEO Bruce Durham commented, "We have only tested about 20% of the strike length of the main controlling structure on the project and still have additional surface exploration to complete over much of the eastern part of the project.” Visit the Lone Mountain project page at www.NevadaZinc.com/lonemountainoverview.
