(Image: Dunnedin Ventures)[/caption] NUNAVUT –  Vancouver-based Dunnedin Ventures has recovered 338 diamonds from the first kimberlite drilled at the Kahuna project near Rankin Inlet and next door to Agnico Eagle’s Meliadine gold project. Last winter’s program involved collecting 400 km of rotary air blast (RAB) drilling samples. The diamonds were recovered from 127.7 kg of material from the newly identified extension of kimberlite 07KD-24. The stones were larger than the 0.106-mm sieve size, including four that were larger than 0.85 mm. Dunnedin has also completed a very low frequency ground based electromagnetic survey over the 07KS-24 kimberlite and other priority targets. Additional kimberlites across the Kahuna property are also being RAB drill tested. In 2015 the maiden resource put the combined inferred resource at 4.0 million tonnes of kimberlite with an average grade of 1.01 carats per tonne and containing 4.0 million carats of macrodiamonds (+0.85 mm). There are three main diamondiferous kimberlites – Kahuna, PST and Notch – at the property. Visit www.DunnedinVentures.com for more information.
