QUEBEC – Vancouver-based Bonterra Resources recently cut 30.5 g/t gold over 2.0 metres at its Gladiator gold project 170 km  northeast of Val d’Or. The results of this and other holes allowed the company to increase the down plunge length of the high grade South zone. (Image: Bonterra Resources)[/caption] Bonterra says that infill and extension drilling at Gladiator continue to demonstrate the continuity of the deposit, highlighting the predictability of the mineralized areas. Continuity is confirmed over four drilled horizons along a strike of 1,200 metres and to a depth of more than 1,000 metres. Here are some of the highlights:
  • Hole BA-18-43 extends the North zone in the east side of the deposit with 11.4 g/t gold over 1.0 metre;
  • Hole BA-18-40 intersected the North zone in the West end Rivage area, extending the depth of known mineralization to 300 metres below surface with 6.3 g/t gold over 1.0 metre;
  • Hole BA-18-41 intersected the Footwall zone with 10.3 g/t gold over 2.1 metres, extending the high grade shoot down plunge further to the east;
  • Hole BA-18-42 expanded a high grade shoot in the Footwall zone eastward with 18.7 g/t gold over 2.0 metres; and
  • Infill hole BA-18-39 intersected both the Main zone with 19.8 g/t gold over 1.5 metre and the South zone with 30.5 g/t with 2.0 metres. These intersections increase the overall size of the mineralized zones and increase the confidence of the high-grade shoots between 350 m and 400 m below surface.
Positive drilling results in both the Rivage area and eastern part of the deposit have allowed Bonterra to increase the dimensions of the known mineralization. Learn more about the high grade Gladiator deposit at www.BonterraResources.com.
