(Image: Carder Resource Corp.)[/caption] BRITISH COLUMBIA – Vancouver-based Cardero Resource Corp. continues to explore its Kootenay property in the southeast part of  the province. Cardero has an option on the property which includes the former Goldstream mine and four other targets. Of particular interest this summer is the Ledgend nickel-cobalt property. Soil, silt and rock sampling was completed in 2016 and 2017. Ledgend has identified outcropping massive and semi-massive sulphides with significant nickel and cobalt mineralization, the first such occurrence found in the region. Float boulders from the discovery and grab samples taken in 2016 returned 0.15% to 0.75% nickel and 100 to 900 pp cobalt with anomalous copper and zinc. Sampling of a newly discovered outcrop in 2017 returned 4 metres that assayed 0.22% nickel and 161 ppm cobalt. The best 1-metre sample tested 0.39% nickel and 0.028% cobalt. Cardero’s current program includes soil sampling, trenching and an airborne magnetometer survey. Look for the Kootenay project presentation at www.Cardero.com. It includes information about all five targets on the property.
