(Image: Avino Silver and Gold Mines)[/caption] MEXICO – Vancouver-based Avino Silver and Gold Mines has commissioned the fourth mill circuit as part of the expansion at the Avino silver-gold mine in Durango State. The addition of the new circuit increased mill capacity by 70%. Commissioning began in February 2018 when the new 1,000-t/d ball mill was initially tested. Commissioning of the complete circuit began in May with the introduction of mill feed. The testing of the classification, flotation, thickening and filtering components went well with only minor issues with the flotation blower that were resolved quickly. During start-up and commissioning, Avino is using historic above ground stockpiles from the mine. The material has grades of about 51 g/t silver, 0.342 g/t gold and 0.17% copper. When the stockpiles are depleted, probably by the end of this year, the mill will begin treating newly mined ore from the San Luis area of the Avino mine. Avino says the San Luis area of the Avino vein is accessed through a separate portal about 2 km from the main mine entrance. The company updated its resource estimate in February. Measured and indicated material adds up to 10.7 million tonnes grading 77 g/t silver, 0.63 g/t gold and 0.37% copper, containing 47.5 million silver equivalent ounces. The inferred portion is 6.1 million tonnes grading 70 g/t silver, 0.24 g/t gold and 0.24% copper for 23.2 million contained silver equivalent ounces. More information is available at www.Avino.com.
