GOLD: ATAC, Barrick begin drilling at Rackla

(Image: ATAC Resources)[/caption] YUKON – Vancouver-based ATAC Resources and Toronto’s Barrick Gold have begun this season’s drilling program at the Rackla gold property owned by ATAC. The property is located 55 km northeast of Keno City, in the Mayo district and is thought to be Canada’s only Carlin style gold occurrence. The ATAC team is operating two diamond drill rigs on the Conrad zone at the wholly owned Osiris project. Earlier drilling at Osiris returned 61.3 metres of  2.75 g/t gold. Two additional drill rigs are testing the Anubis fault corridor at the Orion project, which is subject to an earn-in agreement wherein Barrick can earn a 70% by spending about $55 million. Before the Barrick option, ATAC conducted 3,200  metres of drilling at the Anubis fault corridor with results such as 8.5 metres of 18.85 g/t gold. A fifth diamond drill is headed for the site.
