POTASH: Canpotex opens sales office in Brazil

(Image: Canpotex)[/caption] SAO PAULO, Brazil – Canpotex Ltd., with headquarters in Saskatoon, Sask., has opened a sales office in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The company says that Brazil is the largest market for Canpotex potash. Since 1972, Canpotex has exported about 35 million tonnes of potash from Saskatchewan to Brazil. That makes it Canada’s largest exporter to that South American nation, and Canpotex says it is responsible for more than a third of all Canadian exports to Brazil.
